our courses
The Hart County CLC opened its doors to our first classes in January 2025. We are excited to offer one semester Bible-based elective classes for students at both Hart County Middle School and Hart County High School.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
FOUNDATIONS I
Our first year curriculum is designed to focus on the relational nature of the Christian faith. Being rooted in the understanding that God is our good Father who created the world out of a deep love and affection and who has a design and a purpose for His children, students will learn how to find their identity in that love, and then share that love with those around them.
FOUNDATIONS II
The second year curriculum is designed to focus on developing relational faith through the practice of the spiritual disciplines of the Christian life. The saving faith that is given through grace alone by God our good Father through the death and resurrection of Jesus is meant to be practiced, strengthened, and put to work. We begin by seeing how Jesus opens the holy of holies and gives us access to come boldly before the throne of God. Not only that, but He empowers us to put our faith to work and grow closer with Him and do good works for Him as His children.
FOUNDATIONS III
Our third year curriculum is designed to focus on the authoritative nature of the Christian faith. Beginning with the understanding that God is our Creator and that we are made in His image, students will learn the importance of recognizing God’s authority in their lives and why it is necessary and good for followers of Christ to trust in and follow the commandments of God. Students will also learn the importance of following the sources of earthly authority in their lives (parents, teachers, governments, etc.) because all earthly authority is given by God. This will impact all relationships in their lives.
HIGH SCHOOL
We began our first courses to High School students in this January. Our 9th-12th grade courses will continue to build on the basic foundation by offering courses like Comparative Religions, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Christianity and Current Issues, Purpose, Life Skills and Careers, and more.
COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS
Spring 2026
The purpose of this course is to evaluate different world religions and compare and contrast those religions with Christianity. Students will be studying the origin, core beliefs, and fundamental practices of each religion and the fundamental differences from Christianity. Students will learn how to share their own personal beliefs with persons of differing religions with love and respect.
OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY
Fall 2026
Explores the books of the Old Testament to understand the foundations of Christianity through the history of Israel and the Jewish faith. Students will examine major themes, key people, events, and historical context while identifying core Christian beliefs within the Old Testament. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed not only on Biblical knowledge but also on meaningful life application—helping students connect timeless truths from the Old Testament to their daily lives and personal walk with Christ.
CURRENT EVENTS
Spring 2027
Examines the truth of Scripture in relation to current issues facing society and the Church today. Students will explore how worldviews are formed, how a relationship with God shapes their own worldview, and how to engage and witness effectively to those with differing perspectives. They will also develop skills to evaluate issues in their community and beyond and respond to them Biblically.
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY
Fall 2027
Explores the New Testament, focusing the major themes of salvation, grace, and discipleship. We will study key historical context, people, events, and theological truths. Throughout the course, strong emphasis is placed on life application—challenging students to not only understand the message of the New Testament, but to live it out daily in their faith, relationships, and witness. By the end of the course, students will have a clearer understanding of Christ’s work, the role of the Church, and their own calling as followers of Jesus.
